About Ynteq
We are Ynteq, a fast-growing start-up that builds an AI maintenance platform (CMMS) for the manufacturing industry. We are on a mission to make the industry smarter, cleaner and more efficient. Our platform has three unique selling points: simple-to-use, smart, and AI-native by design. Maintenance software today documents work after the fact. Ynteq focuses on making maintenance work better as it happens by removing friction, automating the obvious, and supporting better decisions.
The role
You won't polish screens in isolation. You'll own outcomes — from user insight to shipped UI — in a small, fast product team. This is a senior, execution-first freelance role: simplify brutal B2B workflows, design AI interactions people actually use, and move from concept to dev-ready work in days. You work directly with product and engineering. High ownership, high bar, high speed. We are looking for freelance designer for 16-24 hours a week.
What you’ll do
Ship, learn, repeat
Turn ambiguous problems into clear flows and shippable designs
Design end-to-end maintenance UX: work orders, assets, PM, notifications, mobile + desktop for time-pressed operators
Define AI UX patterns — suggestions, confidence, overrides, feedback loops — so copilots feel helpful, not creepy
Prototype with AI in the loop (Figma + tools like Claude, or similar)
Grow a practical design system (tokens, components, patterns) so engineering ships faster with fewer mismatches.
AI-optimized hand-off with engineering team — tight collaboration, pragmatic specs, QA on what actually shipped.
Go beyond the screen
Use data and conversation to find friction — analytics, support signals, customer calls, and time with users in their environment
Validate with quick tests; fix the problems that block adoption, not the ones that photograph well.
What we’re looking for
You are a senior product designer with B2B SaaS depth, AI-augmented craft, and a bias to ship.
5+ years product/UX design for B2B SaaS (or equivalent operational software).
AI-led design practice — you already use AI tools to research, prototype, and iterate; you design production AI features
Simplification muscle — you've turned complex, data-heavy workflows into interfaces non-experts grasp quickly.
Strong interaction + systems thinking — flows, design systems; Figma at expert level
Speed with judgment — pragmatic trade-offs; you know when "good enough to ship" beats another exploration round.
User obsession — decisions grounded in real behavior, not opinions; comfortable talking to customers and engineers alike.
Tight engineering partnership — you've shipped in fast cycles and care about implementation quality.
Big plus: frontend development experience - you've broadened your skill set to design and build end-to-end
Our working principles
User obsessed — build for real users in real operations
Simplicity wins — fewer steps, less cognitive load, no feature theatre.
Ship to learn — small releases, real feedback, iterate.
Pragmatism over process — clarity and outcomes over deliverable volume.
Ownership — from problem to impact.
AI-powered — use power of AI to 10x your impact in daily work.
